White Cookies ( Share Your Mother's Recipe Entry)

A cross between a cookie and a cake, this delicious treat is almost like a snicker-doodle but so much more. Bake these little treats today and you be the judge. Simple Ingredients you probably already have on hand! This recipe was passed down from 3 generations by grandmother Charlotte Daniels

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • ½ Cup Shortening (We use crisco)
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 2 ½ Cups Flour
  • 2 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  • Cinnamon Sugar Can buy pre-made or make yourself

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350o
  • In a large mixing bowl combine all ingredients carefully and mix. (by hand or with mixer)
  • Spray a cookie sheet, and drop spoonful size amounts of batter on to sheet. 
  • Sprinkle tops with cinnamon sugar 
  • Bake for 10min, check with toothpick
  • Serve
